Betty Boop and Popeye Art |
Betty Boop was created by Max Fleischer in 1930, with help from animators including Grim Natwick. She originally appeared in the Talkartoon and Betty Boop film series, which were produced by Fleischer Studios and released by Paramount Pictures. Despite having been toned down in the mid-1930s to appear more demure, she became one of the most well-known and popular cartoon characters in the world. Betty appeared in several films in the 1990s. |
Popeye was originally a character in a 1930's Betty Boop cartoon. He was enthusiastically embraced by movie goers and starred in his own series of theatrical cartoons in the 1930s and 1940s. Popeye was originally part of Fleischer Studios which was bought out by Paramount in the 1940s. By the 1950's Popeye cartoons were being made for theatrical and television release by Famous Studios. Popeye remains popular today and we are always looking for original cel art of this classic character. |
