Gulliver's Travels was Max Fleischer's first TechniColor animated feature.
Reportedly, the success of Walt Disney's 1937 film "Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs" spurred
the Fleischer Studios into producing this film at a budget of $700,000.
Some 12 tons of paint and 500,000 celluloids were used for the 115,700 composite scenes in the
The world premiere took place in Miami, Florida on December 18, 1939.
