|Fleischer Studios - Gulliver's Travels - 1939
Gulliver's Travels was Max Fleischer's first TechniColor animated feature.
Reportedly, the success of Walt Disney's 1937 film "Snow White And The Seven
Dwarfs" spurred the Fleischer Studios into producing this film at a budget of $700,000.
Some 12 tons of paint and 500,000 celluloids were used for the 115,700 composite
scenes in the film.
The world premiere took place in Miami, Florida on December 18, 1939.
Songs: "It's a Hap Hap Happy Day," music and lyrics by Sammy Timberg,
Al Neiburg and Winston Sharples; "Faithful Forever," music and lyrics by
Ralph Rainger and Leo Robin.
Very little original art survives from this rare Fleischer feature film.
